Seems our service provider (where meetro is hosted) is experiencing some downtime at the moment and it’s affecting Meetro and a number of other sites as well. Not sure how soon we’ll have it back up and running, but we’ll post status here as we learn more.

One server is back up and running, now we’re waiting for a few more.

You know, I really like the idea of your software. But I have had nothing but problems about 3 days after i installed it. If people are having the same problems as i am (cant log in, cant see the dashboard) you might want to think about saying something on your home page. Yes, i know its the beta (though i didnt know that before downloading it! Which you REALLY should say something about on your page!) but i cant get it to work at all. I cant log in so i cant even talk to any of the users. The feature that, i would assume people want, to be able to see other people that are around them seems to be disabled. Only your definition of what is “around them” is shown.
I guess i really like the idea of your software but i am very disapointed in the current execution of it. Please go public with a better release next time.

Im having the same problem… downloaded a few days back and havnt been able to see the dashboard once. Il keep trying because it sounds really cool… it is however slightly frustrating.

I haven’t been able to log in for more than a week. Nothing works anymore. And prior to that, when it did work briefly, someone I do not know at all, conveniently added me as a Friend automatically, and there is no ‘delete’ feature, just a ‘block user’ button. i didn’t even have a choice whether I want this person on my Friends list or not.

just updated to the beta and dashboard wont display and i keep losing my info to my profile. plz fix this ,i just joined and see the interesting features.

Just an update, that some user’s are still experiencing problems and we’re working on getting everything 100% straight.
So for some folks they’re having dashboard issues, for others they are having trouble logging in (best thing to do is exit and restart meetro.)
And Titi, there is a ‘remove’ friend feature when look at somebody’s profile, you don’t have to block them.

I recently signed up for Meetro and I’ve never been able to get it to work
Change location brings up “An unexpected problem has come up” every time on a Mac, and an just plain never loads on Windows. Any way to fix this?

I love the Idea of this program but I can’t get the dashboard to load up. I have tried this on three different computers and I’m about to give up on it.

Still haven’t resolved the problem?
I can log in, but nothing seems to work. Profile says my alias is “kanenas”, who is THAT?
I tried updating my profile, but it doesn’t get saved.

Which problem were you expecting?
The client says beta, but it’s definitely alpha.

Wow, who knew this would turn into a forum for our complaints. Hey Meetro, whats happening on your side? I still cant log on. Still no patches, or new software versions. Heck, it would just be nice to know WHEN your going to release a new version!
Im glad your getting all this press, but ill tell you something. Good reviews get around a LOT slower then bad ones!
advice, take your stuff offline so you dont lose future users!
Or, at least MAKE SURE PEOPLE know this is TEST software. ALPHA stage.

I used to be able to at least get the window showing other Meetro users online. Now I get a big blank window. The dashboard doesn’t even come up anymore. Please tell your users something…there are hundreds of us waiting.

I can log on but everything is screwed up. my profile is saying kanenas, there’s nobody online, and meetro dashboard is just not working.

I guess am having the same problem as everyone else. Can’t load dashboard or anything else in the sidebar/confirm my location. Now that’s annoying. I have been trying for some time coz it sounds kinda cool but hey I’m about to give up too.
Why advertise when u can’t deliver?

I would equate the lack of progress updates about what’s going on with Meetro to the lack of announcements by a train crew of a NYC Subway train stalled in a tunnel under the East River…unnerving and unacceptable. Users would prefer to hear what you’re doing to remedy the situation as opposed to hearing nothing at all. Please tell us SOMETHING. Thank you.
